Olga Shaishmelashvili




Was born in Leningrad. In 1996 she graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academic Art Lyceum named after B. Ioganson of the Russian Academy of Arts. Graduated from the Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, Faculty of Monumental Art, Department of Interior and Equipment 2002.

Since 2002, in colaboration with Peter Okunev, she has created costumes and scenery for more than 40 ballet, opera and drama performances on the famous scenes of  Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Rostov, Kiev, Yerevan, Chelyabinsk, Vladivostok, Samara, Riga, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Minsk etc.

Since 2011, she has been working on her own projects, cooperating successfully with both Russian and European theaters.

 St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater of Boris Eifman: costume designer of the performances "Rodin", "Requiem", "Up & down", "Tchaikovsky".

 The Riga Russian Theater named after M. Chekhov (Riga, Latvia): scenography and costumes for the performances "Princess Mary", "Blessing of Love", "Ghost from Canterville", "Time of Passions of Men".

Theater Astana-ballet, Astana, Kazakhstan: scenography and costumes for the plays "Zhusan", "Carmen".

St. Petersburg Leonid Yakobson Ballet Theater. Scenography and costumes for the performances "Stone Coast", "Chopiniana", "Paquita Grand Pas", "Sleeping Beauty".

St. Petersburg Theater of Musical Comedy. Scenography and costumes for the performances "Viennese Blood", "Grooms" (co-authored with Peter Okunev).

 Festival Ruhrfestspiele, Recklinghausen (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). Scenography for the play "Demetrius", scenography and costumes for the play "Areja" Koproduktion Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, Areja Ltd. Kooperation der Ruhrfestspiele

Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Germany. Costumes for operas "Die soldaten" and "Eugene Onegin".

Theater Basel, Switzerland. Costumes for the opera Khovanshchina.

Russian Drama Theater. V. I. Kachalov, Kazan. Scenography and costumes for the play "The Taming of the Shrew".

Novosibirsk State Drama Theater Old House. Scenography and costumes for the play "Cherry Orchard".
